The project

This conceptual photography project explored how a person’s identity and complexity can be communicated through a sequence of images. The objective was to create a visual narrative that portrayed an individual beyond surface-level characteristics, capturing both everyday moments and the emotional contrasts within a person’s life.

I chose to portray Ellen, a young adult navigating the balance between youthful joy and the excitement of nightlife, while also experiencing vulnerability and uncertainty. Her interest in fashion and aesthetics becomes both a form of self-expression and, at times, a way to escape the frustration and comparison to others who appear to already have found their path.
